What happens at the start of films?
Setting and location
The setting and location in the opening of Skyfall also leads us to slightly understanding the Storyline. There are scenes in the opening that constantly show guns, blood, tombstones and more things that relate to violence and death allowing us to knowing that the movie is a thriller and action movie. Also, there are shots of many places like underwater, a grave yard and Chinese dragons are shown, suggesting it is an adventurous film as this indicates that the characters go to many different places.
Music
The music set the tone for the movie. The song being played is Skyfall by Adele and this has a deadly and dark feeling also there is a violin being played and the piano is being played in a low pitch, very slowly.
Main character/s Introduced
The opening of this film only shows one man clearly (Daniel Craig), this allows us to know that he will be the main character throughout the film. The main character also gives us an insight to the plot of the film as if they are a well known character, they are mostly likely going to star in the same type of films.Title
The title of the film is shown in block capitals spaced out so that it is clear of the audience, along with all the characters names. If any of the characters are known, this will instantly attract in the viewers.
