Iron Man

Most Mainstream institutions such as Iron Man, it's audience will be expecting a clear, captivating tittles of the characters, producer, director etc. These also consist of  establishing shots of what the main shots of the film could be, or they place attractive, precise images of what the story line could be or even foreshadowing what will be happening later on in the film to anticipate the audience as well as an effective music rhythm to relating to the movie. Here are some examples of what I related to whilst watching Iron Man.

What happens at the start of the 2 minuets 40 seconds in the film?

Setting and location, throughout the start of the film, we don't come across any mid-shots during the film. Instead, we see a Midshot and the medium shot is a general, all-purpose shot. Medium shots are used for dialogue sequences, and they allow the viewer to pick up on the character's movements and gestures. So, the audience gets to see the body language of Iron Man (Iron man), it conveys emotion which is the robots fierce look (especially the straight eyebrows),and the medium shot remains close enough to capture the scene including the Mis En Scene of the background consisting a wide range of cartoony image as well as CGI which we see through the glasses of the Iron Man to present his 'super powers'. The connotations of the setting of Iron Man on his own, presented in a mid-shot shows that he's significant and his dominance is presented to us from the way he's the only object, at the center to reveal his power.

The Music played during the film gives a strong impression of mystery through the constant use of drum beats, trumpets, electronic guitar, all combined together. The strong use of the upbeat rhythm rising of the drums collaborating with the electronic guitar makes the whole music sounds rather harsh and manly as marvel's super heroes are primarily seen by men anyway. The constant rhythm of the trumpet at times, rises. This brings the denotations along of the film that the producer of the music wants the audience to sense the passionate music of the whole idea of adventure and un-revealed mystery behind the film in only, 2mins 40 seconds.

Main characters from the actual film come across as very child-like and suitable for teens. Although the scenes we come across are scenes that may not be suitable for a child to vision necessarily, such as the intimate scene. The graphics, cartoon (comic book like) titles and headings and also constant use of match cuts of the robot connotes the never ending action taking place in the film which makes the audience (Children and teens also) feel excited and urges them to continue watching the film as it has anticipated them.
