This is Gizem, who plays a mean girl in the film who does not like the main character and she talks about her character and her worries abou the filming day.

This is Titilope, who plays the main character and she talks about her inspirations on how she will be playing her character and what she thinks about the groups film plot.

Progression Blog

We are going to start filing on the weekend before the half term and, if we need to, we will have to continue filming a couple days into the half term week.

We could not film today because, unfortunatley our group was incomplete as half of the members couon thursday the 13th due to them being unwell.

Now our plan is:

Thursday 13 February: We will finish all oyr extra planning on this day and make sure we know everything we will be doing on our filming day.

Firday 14th February: We will meet up at our location and begin our filimg process and at this stage all memebers of the group will be together plus an extra character. We will try to finish most of our film on this day.

Sunday 16th February: We will continue filming on this day finishing up if we are not already filming.

Monday 17th February: We will add finishing touches on this day, although we hoping that we would be finished before this day.

Most of our filming days do not seem like it will allow us to film outside on these days, the scenes outside may have to be left to sunday to film it, as it is not really raining on this day.

Our Teacher gave us important tips that we had to consider to make out Pitch Presentation better:

Improvements:

We should improve our 'audience details' slide by adding more specific  information such as, the audience of our film would be teenagers who live in London and most likley girls because they go through more harder times with their siblings and peers so they can relate to our film.

We have preiviously learnt some themes that are used in teen movies and we tried to apply some of them to out film. Conflict with family/adults and conflict with friends are both common in teen movies and we explore these themes in our movie. We think that this will attract teenagers and help the audience to undrstand that our film is targeted to teenagers.

Our main character is a girl so our film is likely to atract female teens. However, our film may also atract older people because they may be going through similar problems with families etc, like our main character is.

Myself and my group have decided to change the idea about our film! We are definitely still inspired by Fish Tank but we've decided to change our ideas about the scenes. We will be getting rid of the thought about the dance scene at the beginning of the opening sequence because personally I believe that coming up with a choreography, the time etc. is certainly a big deal and we should've actually been taking this in consideration and the fact that we only have 2 minuets to create this amazing film opening isn't an extreme amount of time we have. Instead, we will be replacing that scene of where Titilope comes and knocks one of us out as we're dancing into where there still be dislike and conflict between us but it will be much calmer and effective. Titilope will be meeting me and Brandy as she walks and we will be trying our best to present the hate and conflict through the different uses of camera and editing.

Also, another scene we will be getting rid of is the part where Titilope would've been dancing. To be honest the reason why we're getting rid of that scene is because we thought that we have no access to a room with mirrors only, just like a dance studio. In fact, we do have the option to be filming that scene in College but we genuinely don't want to be filming at school because we want everything to be appearing creative and fantastic! We don't want to be coming across as though we didn't put much effort into this because we'll are trying our best to achieve great success. I hope everything goes well because thinking about how we're going to get on sometimes stresses me out. I especially felt stressed out when figuring where to film and choosing the parts, times to film but I know that everything will go well. I love my group and believe in all of us and the people in my class as well and hope they will achieve the best grades.

There are also other scenes we will be adding in, like a Sister. Again, we will be presenting their conflict and the difference between the two characters by the actions and facial expressions along with the camera work and editing! It will be such a surprise to us all once we get filming, cannot wait!
